What you are buying

A subscription to the Flock U mobile application: a map of publicly documented automated license plate readers in the United States, route planning that avoids them where possible, on-screen turn-by-turn navigation with camera alerts (there is no spoken guidance), alerts for areas you choose to watch, and an educational library. It is a digital service. Nothing physical is shipped, so there is no delivery or return process.

Price and billing

• $4.99 USD per month. All prices are in US dollars.
• New installs get 7 days free, with no payment method collected. Nothing is charged and there is nothing to cancel; when the 7 days end, the app asks you to subscribe to carry on.
• You subscribe in the app. A payment method is collected at checkout, which starts a 7-day free trial. You are not charged during the trial. When it ends your card is charged $4.99, and $4.99 on the same day each month thereafter, automatically, until you cancel. Beyond the free period above, a subscription or trial is required to use the app at all, including viewing the map.
• Cancel before that trial ends and you are never charged anything.
• Payment is processed by Stripe, or by Google Play Billing if you installed from the Play Store. We never receive or store your card number.
• Access begins immediately and continues for as long as the subscription is active.

Cancellation policy

You can cancel at any time, for any reason, with no penalty and no cancellation fee:

• In the app: Settings → Subscription → Manage / Cancel. If you subscribed through Google Play, cancel in the Play Store — Google bills that subscription and we cannot stop a Play charge for you.
• Or email support@waterviewtechnologies.com and we will cancel it for you.

Cancelling stops all future charges. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no phone tree and no retention offer to decline.

Refund policy

• Cancel during the free trial: no charge at all.
• Charged by mistake, or unhappy with your most recent payment? Email support@waterviewtechnologies.com within 14 days of that charge and we will refund it in full. You do not need to give a reason.
• Refunds are returned to the original payment method, normally within 5–10 business days once issued.
• We do not automatically refund earlier months beyond the most recent charge, but if something went wrong on our end, tell us and we will make it right.

Disputes

If you see a charge you do not recognise or believe is wrong, please email us first at support@waterviewtechnologies.com. We would much rather refund you directly than have you spend time on a card dispute, and we respond to billing email before anything else. If you still wish to dispute the charge with your bank, that right is unaffected by anything on this page.

How legal disputes are resolved

The in-app Terms of Use include a dispute-resolution agreement: after a 60-day informal-resolution period, most disputes between you and us are resolved by binding individual arbitration under the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules, and both sides waive class actions and jury trials. Small-claims court remains available to either side, and nothing limits reports to government agencies. You may opt out of arbitration entirely by emailing support@waterviewtechnologies.com within 30 days of first accepting the Terms — opting out does not affect your use of the app. The full provision is Section 11 of the in-app Terms, which controls over this summary.

Service limitations — read this before subscribing

Flock U does not make you invisible and does not guarantee that any route avoids every camera. The map covers cameras that are publicly documented; others certainly exist. In dense areas there is frequently no route that avoids them all, and the app says so. Routing depends on road data that is being expanded over time, and coverage varies by region. This is a tool for information, not a guarantee of anything.

Acceptable use

The app is for lawful, everyday privacy. Damaging, obstructing, or tampering with any camera is prohibited, is a crime, and is the sole responsibility of the person who does it. We provide no instructions for doing so and will not. Obey all traffic laws and signals — directions in the app are advisory and can be wrong.

Eligibility and restrictions

Sold to individuals in the United States. You must be at least 18 years old and at least the age of legal majority where you live. The camera data is derived from OpenStreetMap and licensed under the ODbL; nothing here restricts the rights that licence grants you in that data.
