Flock U
Education · Knowledge · Location

Know where the cameras are.
Then decide.

Flock U maps automated license plate readers across the United States, shows you which ones a drive would pass, and plans a route around the ones it can — and tells you plainly when it can't.

Android, in testing — installs from here, not the Play Store. $4.99 USD per month after a 7-day free trial.

What it does

Four things, and it is honest about the limits of each.

🗺️

A nationwide camera map

Plate readers and traffic cameras, built from OpenStreetMap and community reports, with the survey date shown so you can judge how current an area is.

↩️

Routes around them

Real driving routes that steer around known cameras where a road exists to do it. Where none does, it says so instead of pretending.

🧭

Turn-by-turn navigation

Directions with an alert as you approach a known camera, and it refuses to guide you over a route it cannot verify.

📚

A sourced library

How these systems work, what courts have actually held, and where the evidence is genuinely contested — cited to primary sources, not advocacy blogs.

What it does not do

It does not make you invisible, and it never claims to. The map covers cameras that are publicly documented — there are certainly others. In dense areas there is often no route that misses every camera, and the app tells you that rather than quietly failing. Nothing here helps anyone damage, disable, or interfere with a camera, and that is not a feature we will add.

Pricing

One product, one price. Everything the app does is included — there is no cheaper tier holding features back.

$4.99 / month, USD
  • 7-day free trial
  • The full nationwide camera map
  • Unlimited route planning
  • Turn-by-turn navigation and camera alerts
  • Alerts when a new camera appears in an area you watch
  • The full Learn library

Free trial terms

A payment method is required to start the trial, and you are not charged during it. When the 7-day trial ends, your card is charged $4.99 USD, and $4.99 USD every month after that, automatically, until you cancel. Cancel before the trial ends and you are never charged. Prices are in US dollars. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.

Cancelling

Cancel any time from Settings in the app, or through the Stripe billing portal we link you to. Cancellation stops all future charges and takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. There is nothing to phone and no retention process to sit through. Full detail on the Terms & Refunds page.

What we collect

We teach people to interrogate data practices. It would be absurd not to answer the same questions about ourselves.

No account identity

No email, no phone, no name. Your first launch creates an anonymous token.

No route history

Routes and address searches are answered and discarded. We do not keep a record of where anyone has been.

Payment is the exception

Stripe necessarily knows who you are — a card carries a name. We store only their customer ID and your renewal date.
